Next Generation Sequencing Services

The team uses cutting-edge sequencing technologies to provide full service Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) applications.  Serving both discovery and translational research needs, the unit processes hundreds of NGS samples every month. In addition to wet lab services, the team performs data analysis and reporting of on and off-target effects of genome editing, complete plasmid sequencing, and vector genome sequencing. They work closely with study directors, bioinformaticians, and biostatisticians to support timely in-depth NGS data analysis for complex projects.

The picture depicts 4 steps of the NGS workflow: Nucleic Acid Extraction, Library Preparation, Sequencing, and Analysis.

Analytic services in support of vector manufacture

Services provided include plasmid-seq and vector-seq for characterization of the DNA used for production and the vector produced, respectively

Assessment of on- and off-target gene editing

Services provided include amplicon-seq for assessment of on-target genome editing frequency and ITR-seq (assay developed at GTP) for assessment of vector sequence insertion at off-target sites for AAV-based programs

Other NGS services can be covered under assay development

All services can be offered with additional bioinformatics support services
